Old Town Days. Special Weekend Program

The Adamson-Eric Museum opens its doors during the Tallinn Old Town Days with a diverse and entertaining special program. Over the course of three days, visitors can enjoy creative workshops, courtyard concerts, a pop-up café and an art market. The program creates a connection between the historic atmosphere of the Old Town and the legacy of 20th-century Estonian art, offering visitors of all ages the opportunity to discover art, music, and the joy of creative togetherness.

Friday, June 5th

5:00–7:00 PM Workshop: Creating free-form shapes from plant-dyed paper pulp
Led by artist Kerttu Siplane.

Saturday, June 6th

1:00–5:00 PM Pop-up art café “Brush & Palette”
The museum’s cozy courtyard becomes a gathering place during Old Town Days, featuring an art café inspired by the work of Adamson-Eric. Alongside coffee, visitors can enjoy artistically crafted cakes and pastries.

1:00–5:00 PM Open art workshop “Sun Tiles”
Come paint a ceramic tile in the style of Adamson-Eric! Participants may take their finished artwork home. Adults, children, and families are all welcome.

2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 4:00 PM Short live music concerts
Guitarist Erik Leedjärv performs a solo guitar program.

2:30 PM Guided tour of the museum’s permanent exhibition “Adamson-Eric. Modernism and Versatility” with curator Kersti Koll (in Estonian)
Admission with museum ticket.

Sunday, June 7

12:00–3:00 PM Art market in the museum courtyard
Visitors can purchase fresh contemporary artwork while supporting emerging and active artists. Contemporary Estonian artists presenting and selling their work include Julia Valtanen, Liisa Kruusmägi, Maria Elise Remme, Kristi Vendelin, Helena Pass, and others.

12:00–3:00 PM Open art workshop “Pastel Paintings on Handmade Cards”
Participants can experiment with pastel painting techniques and create a small artwork on a handmade card. Inspiration comes from the works of Ants Laikmaa and other classical artists. Adults, children, and families are welcome.

1:00 PM Joint curator tour of the exhibition “From Restorer to Conservator”
On the exhibition’s final day, the curators Isabel Aaso-Zahradnikova, Kärt Lend, Margit Pajupuu, and Kersti Koll will lead a joint tour (in Estonian)

The events are part of the program of the 44th Tallinn Old Town Days. Admission to courtyard events is free; exhibitions require a museum ticket.
