Guitar evening
Guitar Evenings feature students of the guitar classes of Heiki Mätlik and Kirill Ogorodnikov at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. In the cosy and acoustically excellent concert hall of the Adamson-Eric Museum, young guitar soloists and aspiring guitar teachers perform music spanning centuries, from the past to the present day.
Hans Joosep Alt began studying the guitar at the age of seven at the Tallinn Music High School, where his teachers were Julia Kahro-Reinman, Vahur Kubja and Sulo Kiivit. He is currently continuing his studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, specialising in Instrumental Pedagogy under the guidance of Kirill Ogorodnikov.
Arda Burak Şallı was born in Istanbul in 2005. In 2023, he began his studies at the State Conservatory of Ondokuz Mayıs University in the guitar class of Professor Fatih Akbulut. Şallı has performed both solo and chamber music repertoire and has participated in masterclasses led by Krzysztof Meisinger and Lorenzo Micheli. During the current academic year, he is studying at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre as an Erasmus+ exchange student.
Albert Venkov is a classical guitarist who has been involved in music since the age of six. His musical journey began at Võru Music School under the guidance of Mart Margus and continued at the Heino Eller Tartu Music School, where he studied with Peep Peterson and Kristjan Tamm. Since this autumn, Venkov has been studying at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre under the guidance of Kirill Ogorodnikov.
Albert plays a master guitar made by luthier Maksim Cuker in 2024. In addition to performing the classical guitar repertoire, Venkov is actively involved in creating new music and also performs works of his own composition.
