A Hundred Years of Art Education in Tallinn. Works by Professors Emeriti of the Estonian Academy of Arts
The works of the Professors Emeriti of the Estonian Academy of Art are exhibited, revealing the influence of these sparkling personalities on the development of contemporary architecture, design and fine art in Estonia.
The exhibition is dedicated to the people of Ruhnu Island, and to the day 70 years ago when everyone except for two families was evacuated from the island to Sweden. The unique local traditions and nature have been depicted in works by many Estonian artists.

Throughout time, the Nordic countries have fascinated Estonian artists and provided them with creative impulses. The exhibition examines Estonian artists’ contacts with the Nordic countries and their meaning for Estonian art and culture in the 19th and 20th centuries.
